Creativity brings me inner peace

And I’ve been working a lot – *a lot* – on inner peace lately.

My dear friend in New Zealand visited a few months ago and I gave her a pair of gauntlets as a gift.  She asked me if I could make some for her daughters.  It required totally changing a  pattern around to get the scale right, etc., but I think they came out really well.  Duck and Stealth agreed to model them for me.

I have really gotten into retro fabric.  I happen to have a huge stash of it in my sewing room, but hadn’t done any sewing in a long time.  The other day, Stealth actually commented on how long it had been.  So I decided to make myself a little skirt.  When I got done, I found that there was a small burn hole in the fabric – so I covered it up with a vintage applique of a cutie patootie caterpillar.

I wonder what I shall create next? The day is still young…
